We are delighted to present our latest Emerging Futures, Voice of the International Student research. More than 6,000 students from 114 countries were surveyed.
Emerging Futures is an established body of research that provides comprehensive insight into the priorities, perceptions and motivations of international students as they relate to destination choice and international education experience.
Latest key findings include:
- More students considering multiple destinations: 70% of students whose top preference is the US consider more than one destination, indicating they are widening their options as they strive for certainty. This is a higher number than any of the other top destination countries.
- Decliners: For the first time, we have included data on students who have decided not to pursue their studies. Canada recorded the highest rate of students who originally decided to study there but then declined, followed by Australia.
- Perceptions of study destinations: The US now leads in perceptions that matter to students when choosing a study destination such as quality of education, value for money and graduate employment opportunities.
